Welcome District Director Dr. Hillary Jenkins, Division 2

The San Bernardino Valley Water Conservation District Board of Directors has appointed Dr. Hillary Jenkins to fill the vacant Division 2 position during a special meeting held on Wednesday, July 24, 2024. Dr. Jenkins replaced District Director Colonel David E. Raley, USAF (Retired) who recently passed.

Director Jenkins is a Professor and the Chair of the Department of Environmental Studies at the University of Redlands whose areas of expertise include Hydrology, Geology, and Paleoclimatology. She is a Board Member of the Santa Ana Watershed Symposium Committee and the Headwaters Resiliency Council, and is a reviewer for the Safe Clean Water Program of Los Angeles.

“I am honored to join the San Bernardino Valley Water Conservation District’s Board of Directors and serve the community in this capacity,” said Dr. Hillary Jenkins. “As stewards of the San Bernardino Valley water basin, the district plays a critical role in the complex system of managing a resilient and reliable water supply, while also guiding habitat conservation. I look forward to participating with the board and staff on these important endeavors.”
